We use Pilkington A-rated glass as standard with our uPVC windows. This is the best glass on the market today and is used on trains, cars, commercial buildings and even aeroplanes.
A sealed unit is composed of two pieces of glass separated by a spacer bar and sealed together. Our sealed units consist of one sheet of Pilkington K Glass™ on the inside, a super spacer bar and Opti-White glass on the outside. The units are then filled with argon gas and completely sealed. This then gives them a unique A-rated energy performance factor.
We also offer Pilkington Activ™ self-cleaning glass and Pilkington Solar Control glass, which are mainly used in conservatories to protect furniture from fading under heavy sunlight exposure.
